I’ve gone off the crazy end of the pool with this ukulele project. objectively it’s simple… a concert uke strung up with Mandola tuned strings. I play it, strum and pick it and sometimes I don’t even plug it into an amp, as I sit in a camping chair and run through my repertoire while giving my dog, Koa treats between songs. People can donate as they feel, and it makes me happy.
Today I met some good people and had a good time playing out front of Earth Fare in Asheville where I’ve been settling lately after signing a one year lease on an art studio. I made a few bucks, enough to buy groceries and gas.
I’m planning on making this little ukulele busking show a regular part of my routine. It’s real performance and real social time. I thrive on both.
